University Information Services (Academic & Infrastructure)

Department A-Z

Message from Martin Bellamy, Director of Information Services

The new University Information Services (UIS) organisation formally came into existence on 31 March 2014, and incorporates the former University Computing Service, the Management Information Services Division and (since 1 August) the High Performance Computing Service. An interim UIS leadership team has been formed to oversee ongoing delivery and the implementation of the joint report of the Council and General Board on IT infrastructure and support. For the time being, most information can be found on the separate UIS websites that will continue to be operated for Computing Services and Management Information Services.

Information services governance

The Information Services Committee (ISC) shapes and drives the provision of high quality information services and systems across the University. The first meeting of the ISC was in May 2014. A number of subcommittees will be put in place, with details to be announced.
