You will need to make an ssh connection.

- If you do not already have an SSH client you will need to get one first, for example PuTTy
- Make an SSH connection to vpdn-admin.csx.cam.ac.uk.
- When prompted for a user name enter vpdn and no password.
- You will then be prompted for your VPDN username and password.
- At the next prompt (a=announcements, k=preshared key, p=password, c=cisco client, n=normal (L2TP) client) enter p.
- You will then be prompted for a new password, which you will have to confirm a second time.
Mac OS X and Unix/Linux
- In Terminal type ssh vpdn@vpdn-admin.csx.cam.ac.uk
- You will then be prompted for your VPDN username and password.
- At the next prompt (a=announcements, k=preshared key, p=password, c=cisco client, n=normal (L2TP) client) enter p.
- You will then be prompted for a new password, which you will have to confirm a second time.
