Raven passwords are available only to current staff and students of the University and affiliated institutions, and to others requiring to use Raven for University business. All new undergraduate and postgraduate students automatically receive a Raven password along with other Computing Service passwords when they first register (see Registration process). Most new staff will also be issued with accounts automatically.
If you have had a Raven password in the past but have forgotten it, see 'What should I do if I've forgotten my Raven password or it doesn't work?'. If you know your Raven password and simply want to change it, see instead 'How do I change my Raven password?'.
Please note: If you wish to access CamSIS and your Raven account has been terminated because you have left the University, you will need to register for the Student Registry Extended Self-Service.
If you need to apply explicitly for a Raven password, you should fill in an application form:
- If you are a University Officer, College Fellow, member of University academic or assistant staff, Graduate Student, Research Student or undergraduate, use the Application for a Raven account form. Passwords will be sent through the UMS.
- If you are not in the previous categories (e.g. a supervisor without a University or College post), you will need to complete a paper application form. Passwords will be posted.
