FTP Drop Box Site

Files may now be transferred to us via our FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Site from any computer.

On the site, there are three folders for different types of work. For instructions on transferring files please click the relevant link below

• Colour Photographic Prints
• A5 to A0 Posters
• Miscellaneous Work

To access the site:

For Windows users:

• Via FTP application (free SmartFTP)
• Via Internet Explorer v6 and v7 Important Information: Due to recent firewall changes, please perform the following to allow Internet Explorer to access our FTP Site. Click on Tools. Select Internet Options.... Click on Advanced tab, then scroll down until you find the option Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility) & untick the box. Click OK & you should now be able to access our FTP Site.
• In Internet Explorer 7 and 8 you now need to click on Page and select Open FTP site in Windows Explorer. You will probably then be given a warning by Internet Explorer Security that 'A website wants to open web content by using this program on your computer'. Click Allow. Windows 7, Vista and XP users will probably be told that 'the Windows Firewall has blocked some content on your computer'. Just click Unblock to proceed.
• Mozilla Firefox does NOT work from a PC.

For OS 8/9 & OS X users:

• Using the 'Fetch' ftp application from Fetchsoftworks via this link
• Note: Mac OS 8/9 users should download version 4.0.3.
• You need to register your copy of Fetch. Please email Sales@ucs.cam.ac.uk for the registration details.
• Instructions for using 'Fetch'
• Internet Explorer, Safari and Mozilla Firefox do NOT work from a Macintosh.
