Printing and scanning

For information on printing from your own computer or from Managed Cluster computers to communal printers managed by the Computing Service, see Desktop Services printing facilities. Many Departments and Colleges also have their own local printing facilities and charging arrangements; consult local computer support for details.

Colour scanners, attached to Macintoshes or PCs, are available in Computing-Service-run MCS rooms, and in some institutional MCS rooms.  Software is provided to allow basic scanning, text recognition and image manipulation. Full details of locations and software for UCS rooms are available.  The Photography and Illustration Service has facilities for large-scale scanning and scanning from slides.
