CUDN operational times

The CUDN generally operates all the time, except for vulnerable periods which are used for deferred maintenance and development work and during which part or all of the network may be non-operational. Vulnerable periods may occur at times given in the Computing Service Schedule. Note that there are periods of unattended operation during which newly occurring faults might not be fixed.

  • CSNews gives advance notice of booked vulnerable periods and (when relevant) information about the status of major network disruption. It is the first place to look in order to check whether any non-functionality of the network is intentional or evidence of a fault.
