Macintoshes running Tiger or OS X Leopard (Non Intel)

For Macs running OS X 10.4 and 10.5 (Non Intel)

• Note 1: Following the installation of McAfee Security for Mac, please ensure that you install McAfee VirusScan for Mac Patch1
• Note 2: If you had previously installed VirusScan for Mac 8.6 please ensure that you download and run the VirusScan for Mac uninstaller before installing McAfee Security for Mac

Macintoshes running OS X 10.3.9 or earlier

IMPORTANT 1/11/08 McAfee have announced that all versions of Virex are now End Of Life and no further DATs or engines will be produced for Virex

• MacOS X users with 10.2.6 - 10.2.8, or 10.3.9 download ClamXav which is available as an unsupported free alternative to Virex for OS X 10.3.9 and 10.2.8
  Note: Make sure that you download the appropriate version for your OS
• Macintoshes running OS 9 and earlier (including Classic)
  Note: There is no longer any updatable anti-virus software available for OS 9 and earlier.
