Dragon NaturallySpeaking - 1:1 Basic Training
This one-to-one session is for University staff, College staff and students who are new to speech recognition and want to get started with dictation. This 2 hour session will involve:
- Initial voice training to create a good voice profile
- Essential dictation techniques
- Correcting mistakes by voice
- How to improve the recognition accuracy
At the end of the course the student will be able to produce notes and documents, navigate around a document and browse the Web using their voice.
We provide a voice recognition system for training sessions at the AT Service on the West Cambridge site. However, if you have the software on your own laptop you can bring the laptop, and your headset, for the training session.
A mobile training service is available, so if it is easier for you to have the training in your college or department this can usually be accommodated. You will need to have access to a suitable quiet room where the session can take place.
For information about one-to-one training sessions contact the AT Specialist with your requirements.
Advanced Dragon NaturallySpeaking Support
Once you have started using Dragon NaturallySpeaking, and covered the basic training, there will be times when you encounter technical or training issues. The AT Specialist can advise and support you with these issues. Often advice and support can be offered over email, however, a more advanced training session can be arranged to help you get the very best from your Voice Recognition system. An advanced session will typically focus on the specific areas that you require, rather than covering all the advanced aspects of the software.
To arrange an advanced Dragon training session please contact the AT Specialist with your requirements.
