Feedback and faults
- MCS equipment
- Faults in Computing Service-run MCS facilities may be reported in the following ways:
- the repair books available in each Computing Service classroom
- by filling in the online fault-report form.
- Faults in Departmental PWFs or managed-cluster sites should be reported to local support staff.
- Faults in Computing Service-run MCS facilities may be reported in the following ways:
- Building services repairs within the Computing Service, such as furniture, lightbulbs and so on, can be requested by using the online fault-report form.
- Operational problems (e.g. systems not running, rejecting logins, etc.) with any Computing Service system may be reported to the Service Desk (Help Desk) by email to service-desk@ucs.cam.ac.uk or by phone to 62999. Known faults or breaks in service will be announced on the Computing Service news service.
- Faults on College and Departmental equipment should be reported to the appropriate Computer Officer.
- Network faults should also be reported to local support staff in the first instance.
- Comments on Computing Service documentation may be sent by e-mail to documentation@ucs.cam.ac.uk
- Course questionnaires are distributed for feedback at all Computing Service training courses.
- Standards of Service forms are available from the Service Desk and can be used for comments about any CS service. They will be passed on to the relevant part of the Service, and replied to.
- Suspected problems with the security of computer systems should be reported to cert@cam.ac.uk
- Problems with offensive and harassing material (e-mail etc.) can be sent to confidential@ucs.cam.ac.uk
- General comments and suggestions about Computing Service facilities may be sent to cs-info@lists.cam.ac.uk
