Laptop and Desktop Computer

My computer has been making unusual noises.
- This is a common symptom of either a faulty hard disk drive or a seizing cooling fan. A faulty hard disk drive is serious, especially if you haven't made a backup recently.

My computer's operating system has been corrupted. I can't access my saved files.
- Hardware Support provides a Data Recovery service.

What storage media can Hardware Support recover data from?
- Most, including Hard Disk Drive, Memory Stick, CD/DVD ROM and Floppy Disk.

My computer fails to boot or is unstable.

Laptop Computer

My laptop screen flickers or fails to display correctly.
- An LCD display requires fluorescent light to enable the displayed image to be visible. In most cases a small circuit board or cable will require replacement.

I've spilt liquid on my laptop.
- You should bring your laptop to Hardware Support ASAP. Don't attempt to dry out the laptop using a hairdryer, this could cause the keys to melt.

I need a spare key for my laptop keyboard.
- Hardware Support can supply a second user key, alternatively a new keyboard will be required.

- No. Hardware Support operates a chargeable service.

Does Hardware Support have any old equipment/spares to donate or sell?
- No. Hardware Support retains all functioning equipment/spares to aid future repairs. Everything else is recycled using a licensed agent.

Is my equipment under warranty?
- Most manufacturers' web sites make provisions to lookup warranty details.

Can Hardware Support obtain original manufacturers spare parts?
- Yes. Hardware Support can source original parts from most well supported manufacturers.

Can Hardware Support operate a 'while you wait service'?
- No, please bring your equipment and leave it with a member of Hardware Support. Your equipment will be placed in the queue for diagnosis/repair.
