6: chfn isn't useful.: This is basically because chfn doesn't know to use NetWare to check the user's password. Even if it did, though, changing the local GECOS field would be less than useful, since it would only affect the one machine, and only until it was next reghosted. A proper solution, involving storing the relevant data on a NetWare server somewhere (either in the NDS or in the user's home directory) may be investigated at some point.
