Classification Scheme
Filed under:
Information for Staff
Each item in the libraries is allocated a classification number. This number acts as a direct pointer to its content. Packages of the same type will be grouped together.
The classification number has 4 components:
- Single letter to distinguish the type of package
- 3-letter acronym to pinpoint the specific product
- Single-letter to differentiate between versions
- Two-digit serial number
